Domain name search
Check whether your preferred domain name is still available and secure it before someone else does.
Availability is checked live via the public RDAP registries of the domain registries.
Choosing a good domain name
Choose a name that is short, easy to pronounce and can be typed without explanation. Avoid hyphens and numbers where possible.
If you are targeting the Netherlands, choose .nl. For international visitors, .com or .eu is a logical choice. Consider registering several extensions to protect your brand.
Check that the name does not resemble an existing brand, so you avoid problems later on.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if a domain name is available?
Type the name into the search field. We check availability live with the registry for the extension, such as SIDN for .nl.
What does “could not be checked” mean?
Not every registry offers a public availability check, or the registry did not respond in time. Contact us and we will check it for you.
Can I combine my domain name with web hosting?
Yes. When a domain is available, choose hosting and we will add the domain name to your order.
